Hovind har en rekke styreverv og er universitetslektor II ved Fakultet for teknologi, kunst og design – Institutt for estetiske fag ved OsloMet.
Hovind har lang ledererfaring fra først og fremst private sektor, men også offentlig. Hun har vært prosjektlederroller med ansvar for utviklingsarbeid og endringsprosesser i store organisasjoner, ledet innovasjons- og utviklingsprosjekter og sittet i prosjektledelsen i noen av landets største landbaserte byggeprosjekter.
I mer enn 20 år har hun arbeidet for utbyggere med å realisere små og store kunstprosjekter i offentlige rom og stedsutvikling. Eksempler er Bjørvikas offentlige rom som inkluderer etableringen av Kunsthall Oslo, og de kjente kunstprosjektene Losæter og Future Library, Akershus universitetssykehus, Oslo og Bergen lufthavn med Ragnar Kjartansons Bergen?, Sandvika, samt nytt sykehus i Drammen. Hun sitter i styret i Sparebankstiftelsen DnB og er styreleder i Flytårnet Fornebu AS som har som oppgave å transformere den 19 000 m2 gamle lufthavna til en sentral kunst- og kultur «havn» i hjertet av byutviklingen på Fornebu. I 2018 mottok hun Oslo kommunes Kunstnerpris for arbeidet med kunst i byen.
Hovind er selv kulturentreprenør og var blant annet sentral i oppstarten av foreningen Bjørvika Kultur&Næring og ledet det temporære kunst- og kulturarbeidet i de gamle skurene på operatomta i Bjørvika før utbyggingen startet. Hun er en av kjøperne av Teaterbåten Innvik – et temporært prosjekt som varte i 10 år og som inneholdt bed&breakfast, cafe og teater. I 2021 grundet hun Nyksund Arctic Ocean Adventures som tilbyr fridykkingsaktiviteter i Vesterålen sammen med tre andre.
Anne Beate Hovind is a city developer and art producer based in Oslo.
Hovind holds a number of board positions and is senior lecturer II at the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design - Department of Aesthetics at OsloMet. Hovind has extensive management experience primarily in the private sector, but also in the public sector. She has held project management roles with responsibility for development work and change processes in large organisations, led innovation and development projects and sat in the project management of some of the country's largest land-based construction projects.
For more than 20 years, she has worked for developers to realize small and large art projects in public spaces and site development. Examples are Bjørvika's public space, which includes the establishment of Kunsthall Oslo, and the well-known art projects Losæter and Future Library, Akershus University Hospital, Oslo and Bergen Airport with Ragnar Kjartanson's Bergen?, Sandvika, as well as the new hospital in Drammen. She sits on the board of Sparebankstiftelsen DnB and is chairman of Flytårnet Fornebu AS, which has the task of transforming the 19,000 m2 old airport into a central arts and culture "harbour" at the heart of urban development in Fornebu. In 2018, she received Oslo municipality's Artist Award for her work with art in the city.
Hovind is a cultural entrepreneur and was, among other things, central to the start-up of the association Bjørvika Kultur&Næring and led the temporary art and cultural work in the old sheds on the opera site in Bjørvika before the development started. She is one of the buyers of Teaterbåten Innvik - a temporary project that lasted 10 years and contained bed&breakfast, cafe and theatre. In 2021, she founded Nyksund Arctic Ocean Adventures, which offers freediving activities in Vesterålen, together with three others.
